They had another hit in 1997 with the single "Call Me", which climbed to number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as number 4 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. The track reached number 38 in the UK Singles Chart. Its follow-up, "Don't Go" peaked at number 62 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 19 on the Billboard Dance Club Play Chart. Their album, Tonight Is the Night peaked at number 49 on the Heatseekers chart.

La Bouche (French for "The Mouth", is a German-American electronic dance music duo act best known for the dance hits :Be My Lover", "Sweet Dreams", "You Won't Forget Me" and "Tonight is the Night". La Bouche was founded in 1994 by German record producer Frank Farian in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Techno DJ Ulli Brenner and producer Amir Saraf worked together to produce the music for the act while American singer Melanie Thornton and American rapper/singer Lane McCray  fronted the act. Thornton departed La Bouche in 2000, continuing her career as a solo singer. On November 24th, 2001, Melanie Thornton died in the Crossair Flight 3597 crash in Zürich, Switzerland. As a tribute to the singer, Farian released "In Your Life", an unreleased song featuring vocals recorded earlier with Thornton and McCray. Farian later decided to release a compilation album in 2002 featuring remixes of Thornton's biggest La Bouche hits. McCray continues to tour the world as La Bouche, keeping the brand alive. In 2015, McCray pulled Hungarian-born singer Sophie Cairo out of obscurity to be the new official singer of the act. A new official remix titled "Sweet Dreams 2017" was released featuring vocals from McCray and Cairo.

Prior to forming La Bouche in 1994, Thornton and McCray were lead vocalists in a German cover band called Groovin' Affairs. While touring with the band in various parts of Germany, Thornton also did regular studio session work with producers Amir Saraf and Ulli Brenner. Eventually, Thornton asked her bandmate McCray to join her in the recording project.

Thornton as a solo singer was climbing the German charts with her hit "Love How You Love Me." Towards the end of 2001, Thornton was asked to record "Wonderful Dream (Holidays are Coming)" for a Coca-Cola Christmas TV commercial to be shown on German television. While promoting it, and a re-release of her solo album Ready to Fly, she lost her life in a plane crash near Zürich on November 24, 2001. After her passing, the single went on to become her biggest solo hit, reaching number 3 on the German singles chart.

Olga Maria de Souza

Corona is an Italian Eurodance band, Initially formed by Brazilian-born singer and model Olga Maria de Souza and producer Francesco "Checco" Bontempi (a.k.a. Lee Marrow), it found commercial success with worldwide hits "The Rhythm of the Night" (1993) and "Baby Baby" (1995). After the second album Bontempi left the band and was replaced by Francesco Conte and Paolo Dughero. Corona's first single, "The Rhythm of the Night", was released in Italy in November 1993 on Roberto Zanetti's DWA record label,  and became an instant hit. It featured the voice of Italian singer Giovanna Bersola, better known by her stage name Jenny B. It stayed at number 1 on the Italian music chart  for eight consecutive weeks. However, the song was  not released elsewhere until the following year. A remixed version of the song became a number 2 hit in the United Kingdom in September 1994.

Like several early 1990s Eurodance/Hi-NRG songs that eventually became American hits, such as "Get Ready For This", "Twilight Zone" and "Tribal Dance" by 2 Unlimited and "Strike It Up", "I Don't Know Anybody Else" and "Everybody Everybody" by Black Box, "The Rhythm of the Night" did not become popular in the United States until well after its success had peaked in Europe. However, by spring 1995, the song was all over American radio and clubs, eventually reaching #11 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was later released as a track in the 1995 debut studio album "The Rhythm of the Night". Lead vocals for the remaining songs in the album were provided by Welsh singer Sandy Chambers who would also provide vocals on the group's second album Walking On Music. Corona followed up with the 1995 singles "Baby Baby" and "Try Me Out", with similar success. The single "I Don't Wanna Be a Star"  was a moderate hit. A fifth single, "Do You Want Me", became a regional hit in discotheques in the Eastern U.S. The album, The Rhythm of the Night sold modestly, peaking at #2 on the US Top Heatseekers chart and #154 on the Billboard 200.

In 1996, after the demise of Discomagic Records, DWA Records reorganized its staff due to internal conflicts. As a result, the production of Corona was moved from DWA Records to Bontempi's own label (World Of Music, which was also a sublabel of Discomagic). The third album, And Me U, was released in 2001 in Brazil's Abril Music, under the name Corona X. This time the vocals were provided by new vocalists, these were the sisters Bernadette "Brandy" Jones and Bambi Jones (who died of cancer in 2010). That means one more time Olga was just the face but still not the voice, as many people thought. Although Bontempi co-wrote some of the material in the album, he did not participate in the production and left the band. In 2004, as a tribute to Olga Maria De Souza native Brazil, Corona sang “A cor dos teus olhos” (The Colour of Your Eyes) which was distributed by ‘5000’. Souza defined the song like an imprint of her childhood memory. It became an immediate hit. The same year “Garota Brasileira”, a song with spicy samba sounds became a hit with the Japanese public.

Towards the end of 2005, Corona finally assumes the studio vocals for the first time and re-emerged onto the European music scene with "Back in Time", peaking at #36 in the Italian charts. It was followed by “I’ll Be Your Lady” (2006), the first song co-authored by de Souza. Corona's album Y Generation (2010), reached #1 on the Italian iTunes dance album chart. The first single was “Angel”, followed by “Saturday” and “My Song”. Corona's last single, "Super Model" reached #44 on the Italian Singles Chart and was later included in a re-edition of the album called Y Generation Remixed.

In 2000, Amber released the album Remixed, which contained remixes of all her previous singles, including "If You Could Read My Mind". It also included a non-album track "Taste the Tears" which had previously appeared on the TV soundtrack for Sex and The City. In 2001, she received a Grammy  nomination as the writer of "Love One Another" for Cher's cover version and she co-wrote music for Bette Midler. Amber's third album Naked was released in early 2002. It was her first album not produced by the Berman Brothers but with her longtime collaborator and producer Wolfram Dettki, as she bought out her contract. Musically, Amber continued the path she had started with: she continued to write her own lyrics and attempted even more of a departure from her original Eurodance sound. Amber parted ways with Tommy Boy Records after her third album because of creative differences. Amber's fourth album, My Kind of World, was the first to be released on her own label, and was more personal and moodier than her previous releases. The album did not gain mainstream attention. Three singles were taken from the album, "You Move Me", "Voodoo" and "Just Like That".

In 2008 she re-released her debut single "This Is Your Night" with new remixes. The song had not been made available digitally due to legal issues regarding distribution. In August 2008 she collaborated with Zelma Davis of C+C Music Factory fame on a cover of "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)", the classic duet by Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand, both songs were accompanied by new music videos. In 2009 Amber was the closing act at Baltimore's gay pride festival on Saturday, 20th June 2009. In 2010 she was the closing act at Pittsburgh's gay pride festival on 13th June 2010. Amber was one of the headlining performers at the Portland Pride Festival on 20th June 2010. She was also the closing act at Providence Gay Pride on 19th June 2010. Amber performed as one of the headline acts at 2013 Stonewall Summer Pride in Wilton Manors, Florida.

X-Pression - This Is Our Night (Sergey Zar Refresh)

X-Pression are the German producers Daniel Gonschorek and Harald Schubert, with the rapper Joe (aka Jacki) Thompson and the female singer Diana Moor. They entered the world of Eurodance back in 1994 with their debut single This Is Our Night. It reached #20 in Germany, #28 in Austria, #17 in Switzerland and many other high positions in eurodance charts all over the world. A remixes CD was released, including a Night on Venus Mix and a Dance Or Die edit. The remixes were done by Skadi. Then came the second single Come On in 1995 which unfortunately flopped everywhere. After that they released their third and very succesful single. There Is A Light was co-produced by Masterboy and reached #10 in Germany, #37 in Austria, #17 in Switzerland and #5 in Israel. The vocals were done by Toyya Atkinson. They also released a remixes CD. Then they are said to have released an album, entitled Visions And Colours (it can't be found anywhere nowadays, so it may  never have been released actually...).

In 1996 came their fourth single : Carry On which was a big disappointment to euro fans and flopped all over the world (maybe this single was released by another project). They also released a single entitled Riding On A Wave, once again with the collaboration with Masterboy Beat Productions. A videoclip was shot for this single. A previously unreleased song entitled Dream was recently discovered. It is said that it used to be available on Napster, and that it was probably included on album Visions And Colours. The Orb - Blue Room (Original Version)

The Orb are an English electronic music group known for spawning the genre of ambient house. Founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and KLF member Jimmy Cauty, The Orb began as ambient and dub DJs in London. Its early performances were inspired by ambient and electronic artists of the 1970s and 1980s, most notably Brian Eno and Kraftwerk. Because of its trippy sound, the Orb developed a cult following among clubbers "coming down" from drug-induced highs. The Orb has maintained its drug-related and science fiction themes despite personnel changes including the departure of Cauty and other Orb members Kris Weston, Andy Falconer, Simon Phillips, and Andy Hughes. Paterson has been the only permanent member, continuing to work as the Orb with the Swiss-German producer Thomas Fehlmann and, later, with Killing Joke's Martin "Youth" Glover and Tim Bran of Dreadzone.

Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann of The Orb.

Alex Paterson prides the Orb on manipulating obscure samples beyond recognition on its albums and during its concerts; however, his unauthorised use of other artists' works has led to disputes with musicians, most notably with Rickie Lee Jones and Steve Reich. During its live shows of the 1990s, the Orb performed using digital audio tape machines optimised for live mixing and sampling before switching to laptops and digital media. Despite changes in performance method, the Orb maintained its colourful light shows and psychedelic imagery in concert. These visually intensive performances prompted critics to compare the group to Pink Floyd.

The Orb's critical and commercial success in the United Kingdom peaked in the early 1990s with the albums The Orb's Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld and U.F.Orb, the latter of which reached #1 on the British album charts in 1992. This success led to its infamous appearance on Top of the Pops, where the group showcased its quirky style by playing chess (an interest of Paterson's since his early youth) while the group's single "Blue Room" ran in the background. The Orb's mid-1990s albums were met with mixed reactions from British critics; however, its work received praise from American publications such as Rolling Stone. The group experimented with vocalists on its next two albums, which critics generally described as bland and uninspired. The Orb then shifted gears to a minimal techno style spearheaded by member Thomas Fehlmann, releasing its new material on the record label Kompakt.
